Research Abstract
When individuals perceive themselves physically and psychologically weak, people tend to stabilize their life rhythm and seek to go beyond passiveness and the attempt to reduce such stress and somehow engage in activities that provide them with more pleasant and significant experiences, one of these possibilities is the Adventure Activities.
The growing interest for researchers about Adventure Activities is clear and the leisure field is beginning to grow an interest in such practices, which have consistently called the attention of researchers.
Investigate the emotional aspects in the adventure tourism guides is relevant considering that one of most important component of this kind of activity is the emotional element. As investigated in my Master degree, the Adventure Tourists are looking to strong emotions and the paradox presented when someone feels emotions as pleasure and fear are effectively influenced by the guides. These guides are responsible to conduct their clients to an unknown universe, and this mysterious scenario is the start point to emotional experiences.
Finally, after had understand the emotional states in adventure clients, questions about the Emotional Labor of adventure guides and their influence in clients perception of emotion becomes evident, and is the mainly question in this research.
