Undergraduate Programmes
Undertaking study for the first time can be daunting but it is also exciting and an enlivening experience. When you first start University you will enrol in an undergraduate degree - your first degree.
Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
The primary undergraduate degree for business students at Otago is the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) - a three year degree.
At the end of your second or third year, you can apply to enter the Bachelor of Commerce with Honours (BCom(Hons)) programme. An honours degree requires one additional year of advanced study. You will be required to achieve a specified grade average to be selected for this programme.

The University of Otago offers students flexible programmes. If you are studying towards another qualification, but want to include come business papers, you may be able to include a business subject as a minor, or second major. Or you can embark on a multi-disciplinary programme that includes a number of business papers. Find out more about multi-discipline study options.
