Summer School

The Summer School provides an opportunity to get a 'head start' or to catch up on papers in your degree programme. A full list of the Summer School papers are available at: http://www.otago.ac.nz/courses/summer_school/index.html

ECON112 Principles of Economics 2 will be available in the Summer School at the beginning of 2012. The paper will cover the same syllabus as its full-semester version, but at a more intensive pace.

ECON112 is required for a major or a minor in Economics in the BA or BCom degree and is the main prerequisite for almost all ECON200-level papers.

So - providing you have completed its prerequisite, BSNS104 Principles of Economics 1, by the end of semester 2, 2011 - taking ECON112 in the summer school will enable you to take ECON200-level papers in semester 1, 2012, and so make it easier for you to quickly pick up a major or minor in Economics.
